Holiday Experience in Venice
08.13.08 (11:50 am)   [edit]
When I was a small girl I had a dream that I was in a boat in the river and in the city at the same time. I wondered how that can be. I didn't know then that such city as Venice exists. I remember the feeling of admiration in my dream. The monuments, the buildings, the people, and the bridges - everything was beautiful there. And last summer I visited Venice in reality. That was an unforgettable experience. Immediately I remembered my dream and the strange thing was that I knew the city, the position of many sights. But now I've known their names the Grand Canal, Rialto Bridge, the Mark's square and others. Even the position of the apartment in Venice that I rented was familiar to me. And in reality I was marvelled again by the charm of Venice, its narrow streets, elegant buildings, beautiful gondolas. So Venice became the city of my dream in all meanings.

A Visit to Terezin, Czechia
08.13.08 (11:27 am)   [edit]
I have just come from holidays in Czechia. I went to a nice place that once was a Nazi concentration camp during World War II. I speak about Terezin. There I visited the Ghetto Museum and a Small Fortress where many of Jews who lived in Czech Republic at that time were killed. However this city is also known as a good place for hiking. In the local forest there are many good hiking trails that are marked. So, it is impossible to get lost there. I liked my walks in the forest a lot. One more thing I liked about the city a lot was its wonderful biking trails. The Czechs pay much attention to sports and if someone wishes to practice sports there, he is always welcome. So, a couple of times I biked along the river Eger on which the city stands. In Terezin I rented a nice apartment that I shared with two of my friends. To rent an apartment in Czechia this way is always cheaper than to stay at a hotel. Besides, when you rent an apartment, you are always your own master while in the hotel you always should follow their rules. So hotels are not my cup of tea.

My Experience of a Farm Vacation
05.07.08 (9:51 am)   [edit]
I’ve experienced different ways of spending my holiday: at sea, in the mountains, in many popular places. But all these had one thing in common; I was very passive, I just did the sightseeing, swam, sunbathed, and skied. Though, no, I am not right, of course these are not passive activities. I guess I just wanted something new. So one day I watched the programme where Paris Hilton, that glamour lady, went to live in the village. That stroke me at first and then I understood that was I needed. I’ve known that this kind of holiday making is getting popular. I’m a comfort-loving girl, but I thought that if Paris could do this then I would definitely do. So I rented a nice cottage in the country and went on holiday with my friend. We did not know what to expect from all this. I decided to live with the local family and to do the things they do every day. I milked the cow, fed the birds and other animals, watered the plants and what’s not. At first I was fastidious, but I overcame it. Then I was tired because it’s very difficult to work on the farm. But I liked the evenings when we got together, talked, sometimes danced and sang the country music. In general I can say that it’s not my cup of tea. But maybe somebody will like this kind of holiday. By the way my friend did.

Plan Your Ski Vacation
01.24.08 (9:07 am)   [edit]
It is important to note that when you are on a ski holiday in the Alps, all the ski areas are nearby. Having transportation will provide you with flexibility and the opportunity to ski travelling at several locations. From Megeve, for example, you can easily visit four ski areas in less than a 25 minute drive (subject to weather and road conditions). If you’re willing to increase your daily drive to an hour, you cancontinue your ski vacation in Italy, then visit French ski areas that will give you access to the Swiss Alps. So from Meribel to Morzine, and in many other locations besides, the French Alps can be the perfect destination for a skiing holiday or short winter break, and a self catering chalet or farmhouse or another vacation rental would be the ideal holiday home from where this popular winter sport, and the social life that accompanies it, can be enjoyed fully. Of course Alpine skiing holidays are not exclusive to France; Switzerland is a European destination that is almost synonymous with snowy mountain scenery, winter sports and pretty, wooden ski chalets. Book a self catering vacation rental in the Valais region and you can benefit from top quality ski facilities in stunning surroundings, experience a day in Geneva, and spend time discovering the beauty of a truly winter wonderland. Europe has many other locations that offer a range of skiing holidays, notably the Appenine mountains in Italy with a superb choice of vacation accommodation in the areas of Le Marche and Abruzzo, besides other popular resorts. Spain will allow you to explore the possibilities of winter sport in Europe's southernmost ski resorts of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, and self catering villas in Granada or Andalucia make the ideal holiday home to plan your skiing agenda.
